TU CZY TAM. CONTEMPORARY POLISH ILLUSTRATION FOR CHILDREN in Cieszyn
27.10.2017 to 21.01.2018, Cieszyn Castle
The best Polish illustrators at an exhibition that allows you to discover the world of children’s books through active play.
For nearly a decade, Polish illustration has been in a period of great flourishing. We observe this especially in the children’s book market. Many talented artists and their diversity and ingenuity supported by the courage of publishers mean that we have more and more unique books to choose from.
We know that reading to children is important. But are we aware that the image accompanying the text is equally powerful? And the illustrator, the graphic designer of the book, is a creator equal to the author of the text?
The exhibition presents works by internationally known and award-winning Polish illustrators and graphic designers. So far it has been presented at the Zachęta National Art Gallery in Warsaw and the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola. From 27.10.2017 to 21.01.2018 we can see it in Cieszyn Castle (exhibition room, building A Orangery).
