The open-air photographic exhibition on the square in front of the Ballada cinema, aimed mainly at the young viewer, aims to bring closer the various forms of resistance of the population of Stalowa Wola and the surrounding area against the Nazi occupation terror in the years 1939-1944.

The large-format photographs feature various people who distinguished themselves in the struggle against the occupying forces, shown against the background of the wide-ranging conspiratorial activities of the period (actions of underground organisations, partisans, secret teaching). Each of them ‘tells’ their own story of struggle for freedom. Emphasising the role of specific people will make young people realise that in difficult times anyone, even an ordinary, ordinary person, can be a hero, and the fight against the enemy does not have to consist only in armed actions.
