Stalowa Wola-city garden
Date: 27.09-11.11.2014 Place: Rzeszów University of Technology in Stalowa Wola. Post-workshop exhibition of student projects
Exhibition of preliminary concept designs for the development of the square on Wolności Street in Stalowa Wola, made by students participating in the architectural and design workshop on May 15-17, 2014.
The students were divided into four groups, each of which developed its own plan for modernizing the Liberty Street plaza area. Each group included architects, visual artists-designers and landscape architects. The work was preceded by field research, analysis of the traffic system, the state of preservation of greenery, paving, small architecture, and interviews with residents and people with disabilities. Thanks to these meetings, it was possible to partially incorporate the principles of universal design into the design process for specific projects.
The four resulting concepts take into account the city’s already implemented projects for particular parts of Stalowa Wola’s public areas and try to fit into the context of these activities and spatial conditions through ideas for a new arrangement of the city’s main square.

1. green puzzle
