For nearly a decade, Polish illustration has been experiencing a great renaissance, particularly in the realm of children’s books. We see this especially reflected in the diversity and creativity of many talented creators, supported by the boldness of publishers, which provides us with an increasing selection of exceptional books. We know that reading to children is important, but are we aware that the images accompanying the text hold just as much power? Is the illustrator, the graphic designer of the book, a creator equal to the author of the text?

This exhibition showcases the works of 14 illustrators and graphic designers. Among them are those already recognized in Poland and around the world, recipients of national and international awards. There are also emerging talents in whom we see potential and hope for their further development. Each artist treats the child as a partner, as a sensitive reader of their visual language. Each one tells their story through images. Thanks to them, books are created that serve as children’s first contact with art.
