Gallery by touch

2nd edition

A permanent, outdoor exhibition of 24 stone sculptures, made by artists from Poland and Ukraine.

 

The exoposition is designed mainly for tactile perception. Blind and visually impaired people can visit the Gallery by touching the Braille captions on aluminum plaques, or by using spoken descriptions of the sculptures prepared for broadcast from individual mp3 players.

The sculptures are arranged in the museum’s courtyard. They include works with realistic features and compositions that appeal to the viewer’s imagination.

The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog with a chapter in Braille. Gallery by Touch is encased in a broad educational program. Curator of the exhibition: Jarosław Pajek of the Polish Sculpture Center in Orońsko.
