Feel the Art
April 7-May 8, 2017.
This time our interactive exhibition came to Lancut. It was created in 2011 and has since been hosted in many localities in Poland. The exhibition teaches and entertains, but above all introduces the world of the senses.
Visitors will be introduced to the world of Lasowiak folk art by unusual exhibits, which can be tested in the Municipal Public Library in Łańcut.
The multimedia space consists of eight interactive, high-tech stations. The goal of the exhibition is to sensitize senses other than the sense of sight. The simple operating principle, based on experiencing art through touch, encourages independent experimentation and exercise. Visitors can develop spatial imagination, sensitivity to touch, hearing and smell.
The exhibition is inspired by folk culture, especially folk ornamentation. The prepared exhibits simultaneously teach and entertain, exercise memory and concentration. All stands are adapted for the disabled, including those in wheelchairs.
Each stand is provided with graphic instructions for action and descriptions introducing various aspects of folk culture. Such messages have also been prepared in Braille, with a view to blind people.
