Portrait of my speech therapist is a post-competition exhibition prepared in cooperation with the Psychological-Pedagogical Clinic in Stalowa Wola, dedicated to the subject of speech therapy.

Already on Tuesday, June 1, on Children’s Day, visitors to the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola will be able to see a unique exhibition prepared in cooperation with the Psychological-Pedagogical Clinic in Stalowa Wola. The exhibition presents the works of children participating in the “Portrait of my speech therapist” contest. The exhibition will last until July 4, 2021.

A show of children’s imagination awaits visitors at the Alphonse Karpinski Painting Gallery at 12 Rozwadowska Street. The exhibition “Difficult Words. Portrait of my speech therapist” is an opportunity to disenchant the subject of speech disorders. Speech therapy is a unique science of proper speech, and the contest organized by the clinic was the perfect ground to introduce a wider audience to a problem that affects many people. Formation of proper pronunciation is the task of special educators – speech therapists. It is they who improve this skill through various activities. And it is extremely important, because it is a component of self-esteem and self-confidence in every person.

The exhibition presents portraits of Stalowa Wola speech therapists made using various techniques by children – their charges. In the new exhibition hall, visitors will also be able to familially play poet and create their own author’s poem from difficult words.
