“I believe that architecture must resonate with both man and nature in relation to place, history, and tradition. A vision of the future, which is what every architectural project embodies, rooted in tradition makes the work not only more valuable and durable but also opens up an extraordinary creative wealth for the designer himself. I think that architecture devoid of this relationship is anonymous, lacking a soul.”

BXBstudio BOGUSŁAW BARNAŚ – ARCHITECTURE ROOTED IN TRADITION
“I do believe that architecture at large should be entwined with man and nature in reference to place, history, and tradition. A vision of the future (as every architectural project inherently bears) which is rooted in tradition makes the piece of art more valuable and long-lasting. Additionally, it brings access to an abundance of artistic creation for the architect himself. I reckon – architecture that is bereft of this relation will eventually become anonymous and lack an innate spirit.”
Bogusław Barnaś
The aim of the exhibition is to initiate a broader social dialogue and find answers to the creator’s pressing questions: Can contemporary architecture draw patterns from tradition? Are we doomed to the unification and globalization of global design? Where can we seek inspiration for architectural forms using new technologies, new materials, and new design tools? Is the wooden log church, so unique in the Polish landscape, destined only for a museum? How would a contemporary Polish log church look today? Can the Zakopane style and Polish wooden architecture inspire future generations of creators?
The exhibition will present selected projects by Bogusław Barnaś that particularly draw creative inspiration from tradition. The projects will be displayed both as graphics and as spatial models.
For the first time, the Polish Wooden Log Church and the Małopolski House will be presented. Other projects, such as the Polish House, the Artist’s House, the Meeting Barn, the Bench House, and many more will also be showcased.
