Art déco glass and porcelain
8.03-2.04.2017, Art deco glass and porcelain exhibition.
The Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola invites you to a unique display of art deco glass and porcelain from the museum’s collection.
A phenomenon of the interwar period were various glass products flacons, jardinieres, toilet sets, tableware manufactured by Polish glassworks: Niemen, Zawiercie, Hortensja, as well as those coming from Belgium, Czech Republic and Germany. No less interesting is the collection of ceramics of the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, which consists of porcelain products signed with the marks of the best Polish and foreign manufactures. Excellent quality and high artistic level of objects determines the uniqueness of the gathered collection. The most important part of it consists of exceptional objects coming from the Porcelain and Ceramic Products Factory in Ćmielów. Among them, the “Flat” service and avant-garde cups of the Kula pattern deserve special attention. In addition to the Ćmielów products, there are also porcelain objects from the factory in Katowice-Bogucice. This factory, since 1929 bearing the name “Giesche Fabryka Porcelany S.A.”, is represented in the Stalowa Wola collection by the “Empire” coffee service and striking porcelain figures.
The exhibition is dedicated to women.
