Anna Burlikowska - Metaphors

Anna Burlikowska is a native of Chmielow, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow obtaining a diploma in 1995 in the sculpture department, in the studio of Prof. Antoni Porczak, awarded a medal, and in 1997- a diploma in the graphics department, in the photography studio of Ad. Józefina Bransch-Walczak. He is involved in education and landscape architecture.
She uses various means of artistic expression: sculpture, painting, photography, installation. Between 1995 and 2007 she had 15 solo exhibitions, mainly in Cracow. She also participated in many group exhibitions, and several plein-air painting and wickerwork exhibitions.
Awards and prizes:
2002 1st place in the competition“ Padre Pio – close to God and people” ( John Paul II Museum, Cracow).
2006 Honorable mention in the competition “Comparisons 15″(Art Exhibition Office in Sandomierz).
2007 Fourth prize in the competition “Comparisons 16″(Art Exhibition Office in Sandomierz).
The “Metaphors” exhibition will feature works that are the result of explorations and experiments in various techniques and materials. This is the result of constant learning of the alphabet of art, with which I try to tell about man, his states and desires,” says the author.
