An Ordinary Thing, Berlin

An Ordinary Thing, Berlin

from 18.05.2024, outdoor exhibition,

exhibition location: Market Square in Stalowa Wola-Rozwadów

The Museum is launching the project A MERCIFUL THING! This will be another series of exhibitions promoting Polish design around the world.

The Ordinary Thing project is a series of exhibitions organized by the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola together with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, promoting Polish design. The first installment of this traveling exhibition will take place on June 1 at the DMY festival in Berlin, and in early July the project will be on display at our Museum.

An Ordinary Thing consists of objects that were created especially for the occasion – these are the latest designs by ten Polish designers invited to participate in the project. Their task was to create works that fit into a box-cube with a side of 75 cm, so that the entire exhibition can easily travel around the world. The boxes, which are both packaging and pedestal for the works, somehow influenced the form of the projects, while revealing the creativity of Polish design.

The Ordinary Thing project includes works by such designers as Aze design, Beton, Lapolka, Łukasz Wysoczyński, Krystian Kwieciński, Piotr Stolarski, Bartosz Mucha, Paweł Grobelny, Malafor, Arkadiusz Wolski.

Curator: Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka
