Adam Brincken. RETROspective 1975 - 2015
19.06-10.07.2016 – Adam Brincken. Retrospective 1975-2015
The exhibition will present a broad spectrum of Adam Brincken’s work – painter, author of spatial object-paintings and polychromies, stained-glass artist, draughtsman, designer of decorations for sacred objects, curator and arranger of many problem and monographic exhibitions, including the Gallery of 20th Century Polish Art at the National Museum in Cracow, stage designer. Such diverse and complex artistic activity, developed substantively by the exhibition curator Barbara Major from the Municipal Art Gallery in Częstochowa and arranged by Anna Król, senior curator from the Manggha Museum of Art and Technology in Cracow, will be the subject of an extensive retrospective exhibition at the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola.
The presented exposition will show in the fullest possible way the horizons of the work of the artist, known for his numerous searches for the right form for his artistic expressions. Among them, noteworthy are the object-paintings, combining the sculptor’s way of thinking with the painter’s imagination. They are characterized by the artist’s aspiration to create works where matter is combined with immateriality, which embody concreteness and metaphysicality at the same time.
In the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola you will be able to see Works, coming from the Author’s studio, including drawings, pastels, collage, works made in his own technique.
