
The Jew, my neighbor; the dialogue of cultures in pre-war Rozwadow
The book presents the image of Jews, fixed in the memory of Rozwadów residents.
Elzbieta Skromak’s book presents the image of Jews, fixed in the memory of Rozwadow residents (former town, since 1973 a district of Stalowa Wola), on the basis of accounts of people born in the years 1924-34 and memoir publications compiled by both Poles and Jews from Rozwadow.
The book’s scientific editor is Leszek Hońdo, PhD, of the Institute of Judaic Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. The text is supplemented by archival and contemporary photographs and a plan of Rozwadów. An extensive bibliography has also been compiled. The whole book is in two languages: Polish and English.
