Roundabout Baltic - 2nd edition
A visual story about the relationship between design and nature. Contemporary design from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Poland and Sweden.
The publication “Roundabout Baltic,” accompanying the international exhibition of the same title, presents the achievements of Polish designers in the cultural context of the Baltic Sea area. The publication “Roundabout Baltic” is a visual narrative about similarities and differences, a kind of emotional landscape built from everyday objects. The objects selected by the curator, through their form or structure, are strongly rooted not only in the material traditions and crafts characteristic of the region, but are visibly related to their surroundings, inscribed in the visual characteristics of the region. The publication was favorably reviewed by, among others, Dr. Ewa Klekot of the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at Warsaw University.
Publication in Polish and English richly illustrated with photographs of the objects presented at the exhibition, as well as containing biographies of the designers, participating in the exhibition.
