Mothers, wives and... tractor women - catalog
The text of the catalog introduces readers to the nature of socialist realist art, and also touches on the beauty of women in works of the 1950s.
The publication includes a description of the various sections of the exhibition: Female leaders and workers; Love, family, home…; Rural woman; Women in the struggle for peace – and finally a rather perversely titled section: For the happiness of all women, dedicated to the propaganda of women’s equality and social advancement. Included in the catalog are almost 60 photographs of objects – out of 120 presented at the exhibition. Many times these are photographs published for the first time. The book was designed in a beautiful layout, referring to a bygone era.
