Catalog of the exhibition under the same title presented at the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola from April to June 2018.
The publication, authored by exhibition curator Dr. Anna Król, contains color reproductions of the works presented at the exhibition: oil paintings, oil sketches, pencil sketches and drawings and 19th century prints based on Jan Matejko’s paintings, but also reproductions of works by four living rectors of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, painters Stanislaw Rodziński, Jan Pamula, Adam Wsiolkowski, and Stanislaw Tabisz, the current rector of the academy.
The catalog contains a calendar of Jan Matejko’s life and work, enriched with photographs and a selected bibliography. Selected works of the painter are accompanied by descriptions.
