The pattern book was prepared for all those who are interested in traditional braiding.
It presents old techniques and weaves and patterns, using natural raw materials: wicker, mâche, pine root. Traditional openwork, hoops, fencing and trims can become an inspiration for designers. The small ethnographic pattern book includes more than twenty photographs of traditional patterns made by regional handicraftsmen, as well as a dozen interesting museum pieces from the collections of the Stalowa Wola Museum, which illustrate their use.
The pattern book was prepared in two language versions. The publication was compiled by Elżbieta Skromak – curator of the exhibition Czas Etno. Patterns in traditional braiding.
