Cop in the lens of pre-war reporters

Anniversary publication on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the creation of the Central Industrial District

The presented publication, like the outdoor exhibition on which it was based, brings the reader closer to the phenomenon that was the construction of the CID. A special place in it is given to the way this event was portrayed in the press and by well-known Polish publicists of the time, such as Melchior Wańkowicz. Pre-war publishers, like their contemporaries, were well aware of the importance of the image in the message, so the texts were accompanied by numerous photographs taken by professional and amateur photographers in Stalowa Wola, Nowa Dęba, Rożnow, Rzeszów and many other cities. And although the photographs are the main part of this publication, they are supplemented by excerpts from texts taken from the interwar press and other publications. The publication includes photos published in the press and in photo books about the CID, but also many of those previously unpublished. And all from the construction sites of the great undertaking that was the Central Industrial District.
