Central Industrial District. City anew

Central Industrial District. City anew

A book for children referring both in content and graphics to the publication “Stalowa Wola – a city for a medal”.

This time the author, basing on the ideas of building CID and new cities before the Second World War, brings closer the issues related to the functionality of cities and settlements. She makes clear how many aspects designers and builders must take into account in order for a city to perform its functions well, so that people live well in it. Thanks to this book, children have the opportunity to look at their city from a slightly different perspective, to take a close look at things we don’t usually pay much attention to: infrastructure – power, sewage, water, urban greenery, park benches, places of rest and recreation, services. Here we look at the city as a large complex organism, each element of which affects our lives.

The book includes a variety of interactive tasks for children to better understand and explore the ideas presented.
