Adam Brincken Retrospective 1975-2015
Catalog of a cross-sectional exhibition of Adam Brincken, a graduate and now professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.
The catalog, as well as the exhibition, arranged chronologically and thematically in the fullest possible way shows the horizons of the work of the artist, known for his numerous searches for the right form for his artistic expressions. It presents works completed between 1975 and 2015. Among them, noteworthy are object-paintings, combining the sculptor’s way of thinking with the painter’s imagination. They are characterized by the artist’s desire to create works where matter is combined with immateriality, which embody concreteness and metaphysicality at the same time. The exhibitions were presented by: Municipal Art Gallery in Czestochowa, Municipal Art Gallery in Lodz, CENTRUM Gallery of the Nowa Huta Cultural Center in Cracow, Municipal Art Gallery in Zakopane, and now Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola.
The publication also contains articles written by artists and friends of Adam Brincken, which talk about the author himself and his work, as well as a calendar of the artist.
