Vacation at the Museum 2024
We invite children aged 6-12 with their caregivers to participate in creative summer activities at our museum. There will be manual and culinary workshops, excursions, visits to exhibitions and art classes, and above all, lots of fun outdoors and contact with nature. The activities will take place from July 1-26, Monday through Friday, at the museum’s two locations: Karpinski Gallery and Lubomirski Castle.
The classes are paid – PLN 15 per child per day. Registration is required.
For each child who participates in a full week of classes, the fifth day for 1 zl.
Note: In case of unfavorable weather, we reserve the right to change the order of workshops scheduled for particular days.

monday 1.07.2024
For a good start of the summer vacation we are in for a fun time at the exhibition “Fikaj with Koziołek Matołek”. Matołek found a lump of gold during his trip to Pacanów. Based on this theme, participants of the holiday workshop will make a game of skill. We will use paper cups, string, aluminum foil and yellow paper to make it. The goal of the game will be to hit a ball into the cup. The next sentence is to make a hobby horse toy with a Goat’s head.
Tuesday 2.07.2024
To start the day we will have a walk to the park in Charzewice. In the workshop part, from sawdust and grass the children will create their own ecolodges, which they will mold and decorate. We will sow grass on the heads of the eco-guys, which will give them interesting hairstyles. Workshop participants will take their eco-people home and nurture them while waiting for the “hairstyle” to grow.
Wednesday 3.07.2024
We will look for inspiration for creative activities at an exhibition of paintings by Alphonse Karpinski. In the workshop part we will make jewelry holders or keys in the shape of a rose out of self-hardening clay. We will also paint pebbles, decorating them with motifs related to the permanent exhibition. In this way we will join the worldwide action, so everyone will leave their pebble in a place of their choice.

This will be a delicious day. Together we will take a peek into Italian cuisine and bake an aromatic pizza. Here, too, there will be no shortage of Matołek the Goat. Each participant will make a mask with his image.
Friday 5.07.2024
A tour of the Stops of our history and solving the quest will bring us closer to great fun. The password of the quest will be the key to the magical casket, which hides a clue to the mysterious workshops.
Monday 8.07.2024
Forest detectives, or what the trees will tell us about the history of Rozwadów. Personification of trees will allow us to introduce their characteristics with historical background. We will invite you to play with the use of worksheets, and during the workshop we will make frottage – a workshop involving the creation of unique compositions by reflecting the texture of selected leaves on a sheet of paper.
Tuesday 9.07.2024
On a tour of the Rozwadów market square we will see the oldest preserved buildings up close and recall the history and lives of people of merit to the town. In the workshop part we will make a family tree.
Wednesday 10.07.2024
A trip to the train station in Rozwadów will allow us to look into the past. We will learn, among other things, how a steam locomotive is built, when the first locomotive appeared in Rozwadów and what the work of a railwayman consisted of. In the art part we will make a locomotive modeled on the one in Julian Tuwim’s poem.
Thursday 11.07.2024
Still life is a subject readily taken up by Alphonse Karpinski. The artist painted mainly compositions with flowers, complemented by views of salon interiors. During the tour of the exhibition we will learn what still life is as a painting subject, then participants will make personalized cotton T-shirts with Karpinski’s favorite motif – a rose.

For Friday’s classes we have prepared a surprise. This is a proposal to create an original herbarium in the form of a macaw. Summer herbal makatka is a wall decoration independently woven on a loom. And on the occasion of the workshop you will also listen to a story about the former village of Plawo.

Monday 15.07.2024
We will visit the ethnographic part of the permanent exhibition “Rozwadów Station. Between Lviv and Krakow”, after which in the educational room we will make fragrant butter in a butterhouse and bake traditional proziaki.
tuesday 16.07.2024
On this day the museum’s garden will become an open-air painting workshop for us. Equipped with easels, paper, paints and other painting utensils, we will make unusual works, combining traditional painting technique and monotype.
Wednesday 17.07.2024
Together we will learn about a very interesting and important place for the city – the railroad station in Rozwadów. Together with PKP employees we will visit a historic locomotive and view a beautiful railroad mock-up. After the railroad trip, in the museum each participant will make a souvenir of the vacation. Depending on age, it will be a railroader’s lamp, an old ticket or a locomotive.

We will start the day with a trip to Lubomirski Park in Charzewice. We will admire the beauty of nature and learn a bit about the history of the princely family, which will be helped by the Stop of our History located there. Thus inspired, we will decorate pots in the museum garden and plant aromatic herbs in them.
Friday 19.07.2024
Visiting the photographic exhibition “Roztoczan-Podkarpackie Visions of Nature”. As a workshop we will make photo frames, which children will decorate with various materials. We will also make a camera with a film of memories.
Monday 22.07.2024
We will be inspired by the exhibition “Not of this Earth. Maria Kozlova.” During the workshop we will decorate canvas bags with a selected motif from the exhibition, and on birch boards we will paint pictures, drawing from the richness of the work of the Artist from Machow.
Tuesday 23.07.2024
Remaining in the circle of folk culture motifs, we will make tissue paper flowers, with which we will decorate white wicker circles. Each participant will also make a Lasowiak heart from tissue paper.
Wednesday 24.07.2024
During the cooking workshop we will bake beautiful and delicious butter cookies, which we will pack into jars, decorated with our own glass paints.
Thursday 25.07.2024
Everyone loves cuddly toys. On this day we will have a not easy, but developing and rewarding activity – sewing felt cuddly toys in the shape of a cat, pig or bird.
Friday 26.07.2024
We will end our workshop meetings among aromatic oils, herbs and flowers. Using them we will make relaxing cosmetics: glycerin soaps and bath salt or scrub.
