The opening of the exhibition Not of this Earth. Maria Kozlova 1910-1999

We invite you to a new exhibition entitled. “Not of this Earth. Maria Kozlova 1910-1999.” The opening of the exhibition will take place this Sunday, March 3, at 4 pm in the main building of the Museum at 1 Sandomierska Street.

 

The new temporary exhibition will recall the extraordinary figure of Maria Kozlova, who throughout her life with her personality and actions attracted the attention of the media, interested researchers and inspired ordinary people. Legendary folk artist Maria Kozlova (1910-1999) was the daughter of well-known socio-political activist Wojciech Wiącek of Machow. This poet, artist, animator recreated and promoted the folk culture of the Lasowiak people already as a young girl. Active until the end of her life, she exuded strength and passion in saving the culture of the old village. This is the first such exhibition dedicated to the creator.

The exhibits come from the family collection of Dorota Koziol, the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, the Folk Culture Museum in Kolbuszowa, the Castle Museum in Sandomierz, the Maria Znamierowska-Prüfferowa Ethnographic Museum in Torun and private collections.

The exhibition will open on March 3, 2024 at 4 pm.

The exhibition will be open until July 28, 2024.
