
NEW RECRUITMENT to the School of Drawing and Painting “Karpinski”
[ARCHIVED COURSE]
JUNIOR COURSE (14-19 years old).
The course includes a series of classes (3 x 45 min.), which include drawing exercises with painting elements (paints) and printmaking exercises (basics of flat printing: monotype, collograph, linocut). Participants in the course receive individual corrections and technical instruction that allows them to freely pursue their own artistic goals.
SELECTED TOPICS:
- Drawing exercises; sketching as a basic form of recording observation and analysis of reality
- History and significance of drawing throughout history.
- Line drawing, chiaroscuro drawing (contrast, value)
- drawing with the use of perspective (reproduction of spatial forms from nature)
- elements of printmaking
- illustrative drawing (drawing narrative, leitmotif)
- still life study
- character study, working with a live model
- painting exercises

Art Classes for Teens (Ages 14–19)
These classes offer teenagers a chance to enhance their skills in drawing, painting, and printmaking. Participants will have access to high-quality materials provided by the museum, including paper, canvases, oil paints, and specialist printmaking supplies (rollers, inks, gouges, linoleum). Each student is expected to bring their own basic art materials as specified by the instructor.
Schedule:
Sundays, 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
4 sessions per month (total of 10 hours)
Fee: 300 PLN per month

Art Classes for Children (Ages 9–13)
Designed to foster creativity and improve skills in drawing, painting, and various techniques, these classes for children are led by an experienced art instructor. Each session begins with a short talk to introduce the creative topic for the day. These classes are structured to help young artists explore their artistic talents in a supportive environment.

- Line and Contour – contour drawing on colored backgrounds
- Color and Tone – exploring saturation, brightness, and value

- Portrait and Self-Portrait – exploring self-expression

- Caricature and Satirical Drawing
