Visible Museum Third Edition
On November 7, 2017, the Poster Museum in Warsaw hosted a gala for the winners of the 3rd edition of the Visible Museum Review, organized by the National Institute of Museums and Collections Protection. This is an initiative aimed at highlighting the importance of good visual identification as an important tool for building internal and external relations of any institution.
The Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola has been recognized and honored by the competition jury for the second time. This time the award was received for the exhibition City and Forest in the category: Identification of temporary exhibitions. The author of the graphics is a well-known illustrator, designer, artist Malgorzata Gurowska.
A well-developed and properly implemented visual identity is an important tool for building identity, creating a brand, and gaining an audience for one’s offer. City and Forest, Stalowa Wola’s exhibition for children, successfully presented also in Warsaw, Gdynia, Cieszyn and Lodz ( about 50. thousand visitors) promoted knowledge about animals living in cities. With this exhibition we wanted to draw attention to birds, insects and mammals living in cities, to their needs, habits, the dangers that await them, but also to the benefits that man has from their neighborhood,” says Dominika Zborowska, educator at the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola. The graphic design of the exhibition was characterized by a simple, minimalist, but expressive form. The visual identity of the exhibition and educational materials such as a task booklet, a memory game and an animated presentation were made in black and white. Graphics reduced to a synthetic sign and color minimalism so characteristic of the author’s style made the space aesthetically pleasing, attracted attention, stimulated the imagination of the youngest viewers and gave a clear message, so important in educational exhibitions for children.
