Sibyl 2002

On Sunday, May 18, in the Ballroom of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, in the presence of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Culture, a group of senators and MPs, the results of the Museum Event of the Year competition were announced and the Sybil 2002 awards were presented.
Among those honored was the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, whose director, Ms. Lucyna Mizera, received from Minister Waldemar Dabrowski the second prize in the category: achievements in the field of organization. The award was given for the implementation of the project entitled “Saved Past. Adaptation and arrangement of a permanent residence in the 18th century Lubomirski Castle.
More than 200 museums from across the country entered the competition in several categories. In the final category, the achievements of the Stalowa Wola Museum were rated higher than the National Museum in Warsaw, the Wawel Royal Castle and the Central Maritime Museum in Gdansk.
