Enrollment in the School of Drawing and Painting “Karpinski” is starting

Activities for children (9-13 years)

Classes for children are primarily exercises to improve and develop imagination and creative creativity. Participants will learn various drawing and painting techniques, as well as simple graphic design techniques. It’s also a great opportunity to learn the basics of art history in practice and visit exhibitions presented at the Museum.

The program includes:

learning about drawing techniques: pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, sepia

learning about painting techniques: watercolor, acrylic, tempera, oil paints, mixed techniques

learning the meaning of the words: composition, chiaroscuro, perspective

making a number of works based on the acquired knowledge

Wednesday 16:00 – 18:00

4 classes per month (total 8 hours) 180 PLN / month. 

START OF PARTICIPATION: 19.10.22. 

DRAWING AND PAINTING COURSE with elements of printmaking JUNIOR (14-19 years old)

The course includes a series of classes (3 x 45 min.), which include drawing exercises with painting elements (paints) and printmaking exercises (basics of flat printing:

monotype, collograph, linocut). Participants in the course receive individual corrections and technical instruction that allows them to freely pursue their own artistic goals.

SELECTED TOPICS:

– drawing exercises; sketching as a synthetic form of writing

– linear drawing, chiaroscuro drawing (contrast, value)

– drawing with the use of perspective (reconstruction of spatial forms from nature)

– drawing collage; “sculptural” elements in drawing

– illustrative drawing (drawing narrative, leitmotif)

– character study, working with a live model

– painting exercises

– practical execution of a graphic matrix

– composition on a plane with the use of paper waste

Sundays 11:00 – 13:30

4 classes per month (total 10 hours) PLN 280 / month.

The Museum provides paper, sub-paintings, oil paints and specialized materials, including materials for workshop printmaking (rollers, paints, stylus, linoleum).

Participants are required to provide their own basic art materials as indicated by the instructor.
