ARCHITECTURAL WALKS

The program of walks was prepared both for people who are just beginning their adventure with modernism and Stalowa Wola architecture, and those more demanding, including those interested in the history of interwar architecture under the sign of modernism, design (interior furnishings, staircases), architectural detail. The narrative layer has been enriched with the history of Stalowa Wola residents, the first inhabitants and builders of the city. Help in breaking the “code of architecture” was provided to residents and tourists by the published “Map of Modernist Architecture in Stalowa Wola (1937-1939)”. The map contains information in which places of the city there are well-preserved buildings of modernism; it shows the area of pre-war development of Stalowa Wola. The second part of the map consists of short descriptions of districts and complexes of buildings with general architectural description.
