of the Director of the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola

of 10 October 2022

On the introduction of visiting regulations at the Regional Museum, Alfons Karpinski Painting Gallery, Central Industrial District Museum.


I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Visiting the exposition in the buildings of the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Museum’, takes place in the following hours established by the Director of the Museum:

Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, 1 Sandomierska St., 37-450 Stalowa Wola: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 9.00-14.30; Thurs: 9.00-18.00, Sun: 14.00-18.00, on Saturday the Museum is closed;

Alfons Karpiński Painting Gallery, 12 Rozwadowska Street, 37-450 Stalowa Wola: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 9.00-14.30; Thurs: 9.00-18.00, Sun: 14.00-18.00, on Saturday the Museum is closed;

Museum of the Central Industrial District, 17 Hutnicza Street, 37-450 Stalowa Wola: Mon, Wed, Fri: 8.00-14.30; Tue, Thurs: 8.00-18.00, Sun: 13.00-19.00, on Saturday the Museum is closed.

(2) The Museum reserves the right to change its opening hours.

The Museum will inform about each change on its website, respectively

3. the Museum can be visited individually and in groups – with the possibility of ordering an additional guided tour (after prior telephone booking, confirmed by the Museum).

4. Visits by organised groups, including school and kindergarten groups, take place on the basis of prior telephone booking, confirmed by the Museum.

(5) The Museum does not guarantee guided tours/ workshops/ other educational activities without prior notification of the group (booking) or the wish to purchase guided tours in the case of individuals.

(6) The condition for visiting the exhibition or using the service is presentation of a valid ticket or proof of purchase.

7 The last entry to the Museum is recommended:

in case of the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, 1 Sandomierska Street and the Alfons Karpiński Painting Gallery, 12 Rozwadowska Street – 30 minutes before closing of the Museum;

in the case of the Museum of the Central Industrial District, Stalowa Wola, 1 Hutnicza Street – 60 minutes before closing of the Museum.

II. RULES OF VISITING

On the area of the Museum it is necessary to obey the remarks and instructions of the staff, guides and security officers of the Museum.

Parents or Guardians bear full responsibility for children and minors.

Parents or Guardians of the group staying on the Museum premises with the group are responsible for group discipline.

It is forbidden for minors to visit the permanent exhibition/exhibition when unaccompanied by an adult (parent, guardian).

Persons who are intoxicated, under the influence of intoxicating substances or behaving in a manner that poses a threat to the safety of the collections or people, disturbing the order of visiting other visitors, or violating the generally accepted norms of behaviour in public places – may be asked to leave the Museum.

The following prohibitions apply throughout the Museum premises:

entry and bringing in animals (excluding guide and assistance dogs). In order for an animal (as indicated above) to enter the Museum, it must be equipped with a harness marked in a visible place with the inscription ‘Assistance dog’/‘Guide dog’, a person with disabilities must present a certificate confirming the status of a guide/assistance dog and relevant certificates confirming the completion of the required veterinary vaccinations. The owner is responsible for any damage caused by the assistance dog;

smoking and e-cigarettes as well as using an open flame;

bringing in and consuming food and drinks in the exhibition halls;

bringing in weapons, ammunition and other tools and devices that can endanger life and health, including: stun devices, projectile launching devices, objects with a sharp tip or sharp edge, working tools, blunt tools, explosives and incendiary substances and devices, radioactive or oxidising substances, bleaching agents, poisonous substances (insecticidal sprays, infectious or environmentally hazardous substances), corrosive materials and liquids, electric batteries, mercury – also as a component of equipment and instruments), sprays for self-defence;

carrying and consuming alcoholic beverages and psychoactive substances, as well as staying after drinking them on the premises of the Museum building;

taking photographs with a tripod and lamps without prior permission;

use of musical and sound-reproducing instruments and other sound equipment;

make recordings during guided tours/educational activities;

Guides, educators or other persons who are not employees of the Museum or who do not cooperate with the Museum on the basis of an appropriate agreement can guide groups, school groups or conduct lessons on the grounds of the Museum. The right to conduct guided tours around exhibitions is vested in designated Museum employees, persons co-operating with the Museum as guides, and tourist guides – with the authorization and consent of the Museum Director;

running, roller-skating, scooters, skateboards, etc;

crossing or climbing over protective barriers;

touching exhibits fenced off by the safety railing;

damage any elements of the Museum equipment, in particular exhibits and fittings of the permanent and temporary exhibitions;

display symbols, banners and emblems on the Museum premises, the use of which constitutes an infringement of the law in force in the Republic of Poland or is generally regarded as offensive;

carry out agitation, political, social and religious demonstrations;

conduct any kind of canvassing on the Museum premises;

organising advertising actions, gatherings, photographic sessions on the Museum premises without the consent and agreement of the Museum Management.

7) Persons persistently failing to comply with the instructions of the Museum staff will be asked to leave the exhibition without the possibility of a refund.

8) The rules of making the Museum space available for the purposes of photo, film and other sessions are determined by a separate order of the Museum Director.

9th Damage or destruction of an exhibit or elements of the exhibition architecture will result in the necessity of drawing up a protocol in the presence of two Museum employees and notifying the Museum Director. In justified cases, the Police may be notified. The Museum Director decides on the necessity of notifying the Police.

The Museum reserves the right to temporarily exclude from visiting and/or presenting certain elements of the exhibition/exhibits without informing the visitors in advance. This exclusion does not constitute grounds for refunding all or part of the admission fee.

(11) The Museum does not accept any responsibility for any incidents on the premises (indoors and outdoors) resulting from visitors’ failure to observe these rules and regulations, ignoring warning signs, crossing barriers, tapes, guard rails, or unauthorised, unaided activation or attempted activation of any machines and/or equipment.

(12) Once a visitor has finished his/her visit and has left the hall/exhibition space, it is not possible to return to it, unless the staff has been informed of the fact of the visitor’s planned departure from the hall/exhibition space and his/her wish to return to it, and has given permission to do so. The visitor may be asked to present a previously used ticket again for inspection. Visitors who have purchased a ticket that includes a guided tour are entitled to return to the exhibition once after the guided tour and continue visiting the exhibition on an individual basis.

(13) In a situation of imminent danger to health or life, as well as due to ‘force majeure’ defined as an external event that cannot be foreseen and cannot be prevented, the Museum reserves the right to immediately close an exhibition and withdraw from the provision of services.

(14) In special cases the Director of the Museum may order the temporary closure of the Museum or the exclusion of a part of the exhibition from visiting. Information about the temporary closure or exclusion of a part of the exhibition will be posted on the Museum website with due notice.

III. CLOAKROOM

The Museum buildings are equipped with cloakrooms. The use of cloakrooms is free of charge and compulsory in autumn and winter.

The cloakrooms are located near the ticket office.

The cloakroom is open during the Museum’s opening dates and hours.

Outerwear, accessories (scarves, hats, gloves, umbrellas) and other items may be stored in the cloakroom, with the exception of:

valuables (e.g. laptops, photographic equipment, mobile phones, jewellery), items of artistic or scientific value, identity cards and other documents, domestic and foreign money and payment cards; when leaving documents or valuables in clothing and other items put into safekeeping, the customer does so at his/her own risk and responsibility;

objects that may cause damage to third parties or their property, in particular through damage or contamination, as well as damage to or contamination of the changing room area;

objects with an unpleasant odour;

weapons and ammunition, inflammable, flammable, explosive and other hazardous materials, the bringing of which to the Museum premises is prohibited.

(5) The customer is obliged to collect his/her belongings from the cloakroom on the day he/she places them in safekeeping immediately after the closing of the exhibition to visitors or the end of the event.

(6) Clothing and other items not collected immediately after the closing of the exhibition or the end of the event may be collected at the Customer Service Point during the Museum’s opening hours.

(7) Unclaimed items, after a period of 7 days of storage, counting from the day following the day when the items were returned to the cloakroom, shall be considered as abandoned property.

(8) In matters not regulated by these Rules and Regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.

(9) Putting things into the cloakroom for safekeeping is tantamount to acceptance of these Rules and Regulations and a commitment to comply with their provisions.

IV. TICKETS

The following tickets are valid in the Museum:

normal;

concessionary;

family (max. 2 adults + max. 5 children under 18 years of age);

special.

The current price list for tickets can be found on the Museum website.

2. concessionary tickets are available to:

pupils of schools of the educational system, students of colleges of social services, students and doctoral students;

school pupils, students and doctoral students who are citizens of the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area;

pupils of schools run by social organisations abroad, registered in a database run by an authorised unit subordinate to the minister competent for education and upbringing, during the period of study of the Polish language, history, geography, culture or other subjects taught in the Polish language, not longer than until they reach the age of 18;

pupils of schools functioning in the educational systems of other countries in the period of studying Polish language, history, geography, culture or other subjects taught in Polish language not longer than until they reach the age of 18;

pupils of the Polish sections functioning in the educational systems of other countries, not longer than until they attain the age of 18;

pupils of European Schools operating on the basis of the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools drawn up in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994 (Dz.U. 2005 No. 3, item 10);

students learning Polish language, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish, not longer than until they reach the age of 18;

persons over 65 years of age, pensioners, social pensioners, as well as disabled persons together with their guardians who are citizens of the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area;

teachers:

– schools and institutions of the educational system, correctional institutions and shelters for minors,

– schools operating in the Member States of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area;

– schools run by social organisations abroad, registered in a database maintained by an authorised unit subordinate to the minister in charge of education and upbringing;

– who teach Polish language, history, geography, Polish culture or other subjects taught in Polish language in: schools functioning in the educational systems of other countries, Polish sections functioning in the educational systems of other countries, European schools acting on the basis of the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools, drawn up in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994;

natural persons awarded the badge ‘For the care of historical monuments’, the honorary badge ‘Meritorious cultural activist’, the honorary badge ‘Meritorious for Polish Culture’ or awarded the honorary title ‘Meritorious for National Culture’;

veterans.

(3) Documents entitling to purchase a discounted ticket must be presented before purchase.

(4) Exemption from the Museum entrance fee is granted to:

individuals decorated with the Order of the White Eagle, the War Order Virtuti Militari, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, the Medal ‘Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis’;

employees of museums entered in the National Register of Museums;

members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) or the International Council on Monuments Protection (ICOMOS);

holders of the Card of the Pole, as referred to in the Act of 7 September 2007 on the Card of the Pole (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1598 and of 2022, item 91);

children under 7 years of age;

veterans and injured veterans;

guardians of organised groups;

persons on study visits with the consent of the Museum Director.

(5) Admission to permanent exhibitions is free on Sundays.

6. Special ticket – PLN 3:

Admission on the basis of a special ticket is granted in special cases connected with the service of contractors, partner institutions and other entities cooperating with the Museum. The ticket is issued on the basis of a decision by the Director of the Museum;

any other cases not covered above require the written consent of the Director and are considered on the basis of a written request from the institution/organisation applying for admission on the basis of a special ticket. It is also permissible to give permission for the issue of special tickets on the basis of the relevant provisions of contracts or agreements to which the Museum is a party, or on the basis of the relevant order of the Museum Director;

it is allowed to organise special events at the Museum, each time a separate price list will be established for such events, which will be made public on the Museum’s websites www.muzeum.stalowawwola.pl and www.muzeumcop.pl.

V. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

There is a surveillance network recording images in the Museum buildings and in the areas around the buildings. The processing of personal data in the form of the image recorded by the Museum’s CCTV system will take place according to the following principles:

Personal data of persons staying on the area of the Museum in the form of image recorded by the CCTV system will be processed in order to ensure the safety of persons staying on the area of the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola and to secure the property on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016, in accordance with the Act a of 22 August 1997 on the protection of persons and property (Journal of Laws 2017, item 2213) and the Regulation of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of 2 September 2014 on the protection of the Museum’s collections against fire, theft and other dangers threatening their destruction or loss (D. U. 2014, item 1240).

The image record is a legally protected element and has a direct impact on the security of the Museum. Consequently, visitors to the Museum do not have the right of access to the content of their data and the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal – within the limits of the law.

Everyone has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in charge of data protection if they consider that the processing of personal data concerning them violates the provisions of the RODO.

The provision of personal data by the visitor/visitor is voluntary. Staying on the premises of the Regional Museum Complex in Stalowa Wola is tantamount to consenting to providing personal data in the scope indicated in item. The consequence of refusal to give such data is lack of right to stay on the area of the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola.

Collected data will not be made available to third parties. Recipients of the data will be only institutions authorised by law.

Data provided by you will not be subject to profiling.

The data controller does not intend to transfer personal data to a third country or an international organisation.

The data will be processed in an automated manner – the surveillance cameras record the image continuously, after 30 days the record is automatically and permanently deleted by overwriting the next image.

VI. ORGANISED GROUPS WITH CHAPERONES

An organised group is understood to be at least 10 persons who do not have full legal capacity (within the meaning of Articles 11, 12 and 13 of the Polish Civil Code), using the Museum’s offer together, in an organised manner and under the direction of a teacher, tutor or other authorised person, hereinafter referred to as group minder.

Organised groups are required to book a visit.

One group chaperone may look after a group of up to (one of the options):

25 adult participants without full legal capacity;

15 under-age participants or adult students;

10 participants of pre-school age;

a number of persons with disabilities to be determined and accepted by the Museum staff, depending on the degree and type of disability and the state of health of the wards.

(4) In the case of groups larger than those specified in paragraph (3), it is necessary to divide the groups and involve more chaperones.

(5) The group leader represents the institution, organisation, body or educational establishment and is responsible for the proper care, supervision and control of the behaviour of the group under his/her care.

(6) The group leader is fully responsible for the persons in their care.

(7) Immediately after entering the Museum, the Chaperone should complete all the necessary formalities at the Customer Service Point.

The carer is obliged to have a full list of group participants.

9. carers of organised groups are entitled to free entry to the Museum.

Group minders are obliged to supervise the behaviour of group members at all times while visiting exhibitions presented in the Museum building and in the outdoor area. 14.

The group minder’s duties include:

introducing the group to the foyer/changing room, leaving their outer garments and indicating the place where they are waiting for the start of the tour;

acquainting the group participants with the Rules and Regulations of visiting the Museum and obliging them to observe them;

arranging all group entry formalities at the ticket office;

at the end of the assigned visiting time, collecting the group, checking its numbers, and escorting the group out of the exhibition or workshop room(s);

seeing to it that all personal belongings of the group participants are taken away.

15 The group supervisor supervises the group at all times and is legally responsible for its safety, and in the case of purchasing a guided tour service or carrying out educational activities, to work closely with the guide or educator in:

cloakroom;

exhibition halls and workshop rooms;

public areas of the Museum;

in the outdoor areas of the Museum.

Should there be any doubts as to the completeness of the number of the group’s participants during their stay at the Museum, they should immediately report them to the Museum staff.

VII. FINAL PROVISIONS

Any damage to the Museum exhibition caused by a visitor is the financial responsibility of the visitor who did the damage, in the case of minors the parents or guardians.

The Museum does not take responsibility for injuries or accidents on the grounds of the Museum occurring during visits and resulting from the visitor’s poor health, non-compliance with the rules and regulations in force at the Museum, the recommendations of the Museum personnel, deliberate action or any fortuitous event.

Amateur photography and filming (for private use only) without additional lighting, including flash and tripod is permitted and free of charge. In special cases the Museum reserves the right to prohibit photographing of the indicated objects.

The Museum is not responsible for bicycles left on its premises.

The purchase of a ticket and entering the Museum area signifies the acceptance of the provisions of these Rules by all visitors.

The Museum reserves the right to introduce changes to these Rules and Regulations.
