Personal data is collected:
- in connection with the performance of the Museum’s statutory activities – within the scope defined by the law,
- in connection with the use of theon-line shop – in the course of registration and ordering by the shop’s customers as well as during completed transactions,
- in connection with the Museum’s newsletter service informing about events organised by the Museum and new publications,
- through the automatic collection of so-called cookies during your visit to the Museum website.
For what purpose and on what basis are personal data processed?
Personal data is processed:
on the basis of legal provisions defining the tasks of the Museum carried out in the public interest (art. 6(1)(c) and (e) RODO) – in connection with the Museum’s performance of its statutory activities

- – providing the service electronically within the online shop, including for the delivery of the purchased goods, the issuing of accounting documents, the handling of possible returns or complaints, contact in matters concerning the fulfilment of the order,
- – to set up and manage the user’s account in the online shop, including to provide account maintenance, transactions and to resolve technical problems,
- – to handle requests and contact in matters related to the fulfilment of the order,
- on the basis of the controller’s legitimate purpose (Art. 6(1)(f) RODO), for:
- – in the field of video surveillance – to ensure the protection of persons and property,
- – to learn about User preferences, to detect bots and bugs, for statistical purposes and for direct marketing,
- – based on the User’s consent (Article 6(1)(a) RODO), for:
- – in order to process an order in the online shop – in terms of optional data,
- – in order to send marketing and commercial information about events, exhibitions and new publications organised by the Museum.
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Is the provision of data voluntary?
Users using the Online Bookstore are asked to provide data necessary for the creation and maintenance of their account. The provision of this personal data is voluntary, but necessary to conclude the agreement and carry out the order with the User.

How long will we process personal data?
The personal data of Users who have created an account or made a purchase in the online shop will be processed for the period of the provision of services and the fulfilment of the order, and thereafter for the period required by law (e.g. the Accounting Act) or until the expiry of the limitation period for possible claims or the lodging of a justified objection to processing.
Users’ personal data collected in cookies and for marketing purposes will be processed until they make a justified objection or withdraw their consent to such processing.
Recipients of data
The Users’ personal data are transferred to entities providing services to the Administrator, providers of IT services, hosting services, marketing services, whereby the entrustment takes place only to the extent and for the purposes specified by the Administrator, on the basis of an agreement on the entrustment of personal data processing.

- the right to request the restriction of the processing of personal data – the right to request the restriction of the processing only to storage or other operations on the data until legitimate reasons no longer exist,
- the right to object to processing – on grounds relating to the particular situation of the data subject or where the data are processed for marketing purposes,
- the right to data portability – the right to obtain a record of the data in a structured format, to the extent that the data are processed in connection with a contract concluded or consent given
- The user also has the right to lodge a complaint in relation to the processing of personal data to the supervisory authority, i.e. the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
Monitoring
To ensure the safety of our employees and customers, the area of the Museum complex is monitored. Video surveillance data containing personal data is collected based on the premise of the administrator’s legitimate interest (to ensure the protection of persons and property) and, for this purpose, is transferred to entities providing facility security. Video surveillance records are stored for a period of 30 days.
