Drawing and graphics summer school announces new intake!
[archive course].
We would like to invite young people aged 13-18, art lovers eager for new knowledge and experience to participate in the Drawing and Graphic Arts Summer School, organised at the Alfons Karpinski Painting Gallery. This is a unique opportunity to learn about printmaking, which is one of the basic subjects taught at art colleges.
The course programme will include four meetings in the historic building of the Alfons Karpinski Painting Gallery. To start with, there will be a class during which students will tackle various drawing techniques (pencil, graphite, charcoal, sanguine, pastel). They will then be introduced to basic printmaking techniques and will make their own matrix, which will allow them to make a number of prints on different substrates. During the course you will learn what printmaking really is. You will learn about the history of different printmaking techniques and Gutenberg’s influence on their development. You will expand your knowledge and skills with a technique that you are likely to encounter on your future artistic career path. Taking part in the Drawing and Printmaking Summer School is the perfect way to enjoy a creative holiday. Class programme:
