The beginning of the collection was the donation of The Fine Arts Association. It included the works of those artists for whom our region was a home place or a place of work. The Museum continues that trend, for instance by collecting painting works of Alfons Karpiński, a well-known and recognized artist, who was born at Rozwadów (a quarter of Stalowa Wola today)
