The unusual exhibition, prepared in celebration of 70 Anniversary of the beginning of the Central Industrial District, is situated in specially adapted hall. The arrangement erected on the broad scale on 1400 sq m area transfers spectators into the time of creation of the modern management of the II Republic of Poland.

The exhibition for the first timereminds in so wide range one of the greatest successes of the II Republic, which was beginning of the Central Industrial District between 1937-1939. Organization of the exposition in Stalowa Wola is not accidental, because just this place was a carte de visite of CID, a symbol „of steel-will of the Polish people to rise in the world on modernity”, a child of the new patriotism, the modern technical and architectural thought, realized in the own independency.

THE GALLERY BY TOUCH

II edition, 2008

The new set of next 12 stone-sculptures, performed with idea connected with receivers with dysfunctions of eyesight, seated on a yard near by the museum-parking space, is continuation of the „ Accessible Museum ” project, initiated in 2007.

The second stage of the Gallery by Touch realization began from the next Polish-Ukrainian open air, which took place between April 24 – May 15   2008 in Ulanów.  Sculptors from Ukraine: Vasyl Gogol, Taras Rodych, Taras Danyluk, Oleksandr Honcharuk, Dmytro Zabielin, and also from Poland:  Antonina Wysoka - onczak, Szczepan Siudak, Ryszard Stryjecki, Marcin Mielczarek, and curator of the exhibition, Jarosław Pajek from the Polish Sculpture Centre   in Orońsko took part in it. Artists performed 12 stone-sculptures, which constituted the second part of the Gallery, exhibited on a yard of the Museum.

 Ukrainian sculptors also gave over several smaller art-works, which enriched the special collection of artifacts to the tactile perception, gathered by the Museum as didactic support to the educational offer for persons with dysfunction of eyesight.

 The Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola by liquidating architectural barriers and initiating of the special educational offer, worked out by experts, opened new possibilities for persons with dysfunctions of eyesight, hearing or movement organs and for intellectual handicapped persons.

The gallery, in compliance with assumption of the organizers, is accessible, that means it's always open and free. Guided groups can take part in special workshops.

In celebration of jubilee of the Central Industrial District (COP) foundation and beginning of Stalowa Wola city, the Regional Museum opens new permanent exhibition, dedicated to the times of 70 years before.

Building of the Southern Works and the Stalowa Wola housing estates happened in the second half of the 1930's, and then dominant style in the industrial design and interiors equipment was art déco, pointing out its influences also in architecture.

In Poland this direction became a mainstream of research of the national style and had saved its separate character by reference to the local traditions and folk art. In twenty years of the interwar-period people had the greatest importance to function of the object at heart. Things had got characteristic geometrizing, simplified form, ornamentation and special materials.  This style was developed in  "the age of machine”, wherein creation and production had been joined.
